Book Summary: The September 11th 2001 attacks struck the nation on a clear, late summer morning on the East Coast. Ron Sardanopoli was assigned as a primary staff officer for a MACOM-Major Army Command, his headquarters designation was 53rd Troop Command. The 53rd Troop Command was given the authority to be in command and control of the 2,400 National Guard soldiers activated to duty on September 11, 2001. September 11, 2021 marks the twentieth anniversary of this terrorist attack. Ron will have you hear from first responders who served on this horrific mission, including from those who rushed down to ground zero on September 11th.
