  • Pine Lakes Country Club 5603 Granddaddy Drive Myrtle Beach, SC, 29577 United States (map)

MARY WHYTE is an American figurative artist known internationally for her watercolors of contemporary people. Her works have been featured in numerous media outlets including CBS Sunday Morning, PBS and NPR. She is the author of seven books and the recipient of numerous awards including the Portrait Society of America’s Gold Medal, the Carolinas Freedom Foundation’s Freedom Award, and the South Carolina Governor’s Award for the Arts, South Carolina’s highest honor in the arts.  In 2019 Whyte founded the Patriot Art Foundation as a means to honor and inspire veterans through the arts. Whyte’s groundbreaking museum exhibition WE THE PEOPLE: Portraits of Veterans in America, consisting of fifty large-scale watercolors of one veteran from each state, opened in 2019 and continues to travel to various museum locations around the country.

An Artist’s Life- Mary Whyte draws back the curtain on half a century of art, teaching, doubt, joy, and discovery. More than a memoir, this is a masterclass in creativity: giving artists (and non-artists alike) the courage to see differently, push past fear, and let the work that matters shine through. Filled with 70 portraits and never-before-seen pieces, it’s an invitation to live more inspired and make every brushstroke count.

GRACE HELENA WALZ is a former social worker with a passion for heartfelt, down to earth stories. She resides outside of Atlanta, GA with her husband and two children. Her debut novel Southern by Design published in February 2025. This is her second novel.

Good Hair Days- In the sweet, sticky air of Whitetail, Georgia—where the stilettos are high, the Dolly Parton posters abound, and hair deserves its own spotlight—lives June’s Beauty Shop: the heart and soul of the Louise women. Georgia Scott had one foot out of that little town for years—big dreams in Atlanta, a glossy life—while her sister Junie held down the fort at the salon, juggling curlers and chaos. But when a mess-up with a renovation threatens the shop and Junie gets hit with a life-shaking diagnosis, Georgia comes home to stitch together a legacy built on late-nights, family recipes, and all the gossip that only a beauty chair can conjure. Full of sass, heartbreak, laughter, and the sort of sisterhood that runs deeper than hairspray.
