In October 2025, we were proud to launch the inaugural Litchfield Books Literary Award. This contest was created to champion the next generation of storytellers, inviting young writers under the age of 18 to submit an original short fiction story for a chance at a $1,000 grand prize.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our customers, local book clubs, and visiting authors, we raised enough to provide significant awards for both our winner and finalists. After months of careful deliberation, our judges are thrilled to celebrate the immense talent found within Horry and Georgetown County schools. Please join us at this event where we will officially announce the winners and present their awards.
$5.00 tickets can be purchased online, in store, or CASH at the door. *Please call in advance to reserve your spot if you plan to pay at the door. Seating is first-come, first-served, so be sure to arrive early to grab a spot.
